Dr. Kwame Adogboba is a senior public health practitioner with over 20 years experience in the planning, organisation and management of district, regional and national health services in Ghana. He is currently Deputy Director for Institutional Services of the Ghana Ministry of Health. Dr. Adogboba played a key role in the reform of the country’s public health sector and the design of its new National Health Service. He also led the development of quality assurance initiatives in the MOH and initiatives for the reform of district and regional hospital management. Dr. Adogboba has consultancy experience in a number of African countries. He helped to establish a process of “Peer and Participatory Rapid Hospital Appraisal” in Benue State, Nigeria, and facilitated a situation analysis of primary and secondary health care services of Nigerian church facilities. He has also been involved in programme design and review in Mozambique and Ethiopia.
